SS Rajamouli's upcoming movie Eega, which is slated to hit the screens this weekend, is one of the highly-awaited movies in South India. The action thriller, which has been made in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam, is being released on more than 1,000 screens in Telugu version alone. Trade pandits say that this film will start 100 crore club in Telugu film industry.
SS Rajamouli has created a brand name for himself by giving eight blockbuster movies in Telugu. His latest movie Eega has been adding new things to curiosities of the movie buffs ever since it hit the floor. It is expected to get a record breaking opening at the Tollywood Box Office.
Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, who has delivered several hit Bollywood movies, opines that Eega will be the first film to score 100 crore at the collection centres in Andhra Pradesh. RGV tweeted, "I think 'Eega' will b first film to start the 100 crore club in telugu industry..in othr words I mean it will collect 100 cr in telugu alone (sic)."
But SS Rajamouli thinks that it is not possible to rake in 100 crores for Eega. He calls RGV's prediction a mere exaggerated love for his film. In reply to RGV's tweet, Rajamouli writes, "Eega 100 cr and industry records etc, are Ramu garu's exaggerated love towards my film..:) I'll accept his love and ignore the words Tq sir (sic)."
