Filmmaker SS Rajamouli's upcoming film Eega, which will be released as Naan Ee in Tamil and as Eecha in Malayalam, is one of the most-awaited South Indian films in 2012. But its release has been delayed several times, which has disappointed the movie buffs. Now, Rajamouli has announced another fresh release date for it.
SS Rajamouli took to his Twitter page today (June 15) to reveal the release date of Eega. The director tweeted, "Yes. Eega, naanEe and eecha are releasing on July 6th.." Meanwhile, he also informed that he has already started the promotion of the film on TV channels. He further tweeted, "Watch for promotion video song "my name is Nani" from today on all news and entertainment channels...:) (sic)."
On April, SS Rajamouli cleared the confusion about the release date of Eega by tweeting that May 30th will be the new release date of all versions of the movie. But on May 20, he apologised to his fans for not releasing on May 30th. He tweeted, "For every film enthusiast out there who have been waiting for Eega, I apologise as we are not releasing on 30th of this month. I know it is (sic)."
Meanwhile, SS Rajamouli blamed the delay in CG works for postponing the release. He tweeted, "Disappointing. I am disappointed myself. We underestimated the amount of time for CG. I am extremely happy with the quality of CG 4 the shots." He added, "We received so far. I want2ensure d same quality is maintained4 the rest. Everyone is workin 24/7 to get d film out ASAP Hope U'll excuse :) (sic)."
However, Eega is socio-fantasy film, which has been written and directed by SS Rajamouli. It is a live action graphical film that has an animated character ‘House Fly' in the title role. The movie also features actors like Sudeep, Samantha and Nani in lead roles.
